Good wine starts from the vine
The wine-growing area of Naoussa is one of the most important wine destinations in Greece, offering unique tasting experiences and quality wines that reflect the region's rich tradition and special land.
Within the wine-growing zone of Naoussa we also find the vineyards of the Mara family, with an area of exploitation of 30 acres. The main variety is Xinomavro and the vineyards are spread over 2 different microclimate areas, Strandza and Gastra.
The second variety of the vineyard is the French merlot , which has fully acclimatized to the ecosystem of the area, in the Strandza area.
The family's vines from 2021 onwards are cultivated according to organic farming standards and are in the conversion stage.
